Applications are now available for this year's ACV Legislative Fly-In in Juneau. The 2007 ACV Fly-In will take place from Sunday, March 11 through Tuesday, March 13. The event provides participants with an opportunity to develop their knowledge of conservation issues in Alaska, network with other like-minded Alaskans, meet with their legislators, and build up their skills on how to make their voice heard at the capitol and in any campaign! The Fly-In is intended to be one part learning, one part practicing, and one part hands-on experience in our state capitol for anyone who is--or aspires to be--a conservation activist or advocate.

The Legislative Fly-In is sponsored by the Alaska Conservation Voters and Alaska Conservation Alliance, a statewide coalition of conservation groups and businesses. ACV offers Fly-In participants reimbursement for the flight to Juneau*, lodging while in Juneau*, and one meal a day.
*Alaska Airlines offers a “constituent fare” discount to residents traveling to Juneau
on certain days during the legislative session. ACV will reimburse participants only for the constituent fare price from their community. In order to be eligible for this discount you must be an Alaskan resident or be able to use the e-certificate of another resident. The Fly-In is scheduled to take advantage of this fare. Lodging in Juneau will consist of three nights stay in the Juneau hostel, which you must request on your application. The accommodations are reserved by ACV and no reimbursements will be made for alternate accommodations. Participants will also be responsible for their own transportation between the airport and their accommodations.
